How much does it cost to list my property for rent on your website?
It usually costs £99 or €120 to list your property on Property Direct From The Owner for 12 months.
Do I have to pay anything else?
No. This is a yearly fee, so in 12 months time you will be asked if you wish to renew your subscription.
Do I have to Pay you commission?
No. Once you have paid to advertise on Property Direct From The Owner there is nothing else to pay. We do not charge any commission or other fees.
How do I pay to advertise on your website?
You can pay to advertise with Property Direct From The Owner via our secure payment system by credit or debit card or via PayPal if you have an account. To make payment and list your property with us simply click on the Sell Your Property page and follow the Sign Up instructions
What do I get for my money?
What information do I need to have before I sign up to advertise my property with Property Direct From The Owner?
- You need photos of the property that you wish to advertise with Property Direct From The Owner ready to add to our website OR a website currently advertising your property - photos can be copied over from another website if required.
- You need detailed information on the property that you wish to advertise with Property Direct From The Owner including number of bedrooms, bathroom, m2 of property, and be able to write a description of your property – the more information the better.
- The price you would like to rent your property for – this may vary during the seasons/months or weeks and Property Direct From The Owner allows you to specify different rental charges for different times of the year.
Why should I advertise with Property Direct From The Owner?
Because we only advertise properties direct from the owner. Most property rental portals and websites advertise property from a mixture of owners, holiday companies, hotels and developers so you are not sure whether you are interested in a property from an owner or not. We ONLY deal with owners so you can be sure you are not lining any other companies pockets!

How long will my property be on the website?
For 12 months. Owners may remove their property from Property Direct From The Owner at any time however the sign up fee is for 12 months and refunds will not be given if the property is withdrawn during those 12 months.

How will my property be advertised on your site?
Your property will be added to our database of properties under the relevant country and/ or area. When a user of our website searches for rental property or holiday home either in the area where your property is located or your property matches their search criteria then your property will be displayed. If you would like your property to feature in our ‘Top Picks’ or Featured Property section then contact us for further information info@propertydirectfromtheowner.com
What countries does Property Direct From The Owner cover?
We cover properties worldwide. If you would like to list a property in a country that you don’t see featured on our website then please contact us and we will endeavour to add the relevant country onto our website for you.
How will people who are interested in my property contact me?
You must add a contact email address so any people interested in finding out further information on your property can contact you. In addition, you may also add contact telephone numbers
How will you prevent me getting emails from unwanted parties – advertising etc?
You can choose if you want to add a contact telephone number to your property advert, or for privacy you may prefer to only list an email address. For no extra charge, if you prefer, we will screen all emails to ensure that you only receive emails from genuine people interested in further information on your property.
Can I list my property for sale and rent at the same time?Yes, you may advertise your property for sale and rent at the same time. We offer a 50% discount on the yearly fee if you list your property for both sale and rent. For example; Initially you list your property for sale at the full price and at the same time or perhaps a month later you decide that in addition you want to advertise it for rent then you would only pay 50% of the fee this time. You can either select both for sale and for rent options when you sign up with Property Direct From The Owner or log into your account at any time after registration.
What do you suggest I do if someone expresses serious interest in my property?
The interested party may want to speak to you over the telephone or correspond via email to find out more information about the property. They may require further information about the property, the location, how they will collect or receive the keys for the rental period and if they need to leave a security deposit etc
Will I have my own calendar that I can update to show the dates that my property is available for rent?
Yes, included in your property advert is a calendar that shows when your property is available. You can sign into your account at any time to change or update availability. Sign into your account for further information
Can I advertise my property for long term rent as well as holiday lets?
Yes. You may advertise your property for only short term lets or for only long term lets or for both.
How does the holidaymaker collect the keys for my property ready for their holiday?
This is entirely between you and the holidaymaker – perhaps you have a property management company in the country of your property who looks after the cleaning and maintenance of the property and this person could meet the holidaymaker on their arrival at the property?
How do interested holidaymakers pay me for renting my property?
Once a holidaymaker has agreed to rent your property then you can request payment via whatever means you feel comfortable with – perhaps via Paypal or personal cheque. Holidaymakers will make payment direct t you. Property Direct From The Owner do not request or receive any payment from your rental income.
Can I have more information about the offer of advertising on Property Direct From The Owner PLUS my own personal website?
Working in partnership with Ecommo, Property Direct From The Owner are able to offer owners their own website, exclusively for their own property for extra exposure on the internet. For only £249 or €285 Ecommo will design a professional website and host it on the internet for 12 months. Everything will be taken care of for you - we simply need photos of your property, prices, description and your contact details - we can even take this information from your property advert on www.propertydirectfromtheowner.com once it is up and running.
